Computational Chemist

Welcome to my professional space! I’m Abedi, a dedicated PhD candidate in Computational Chemistry at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), currently honing my expertise within the vibrant Fluorescence Research Group led by the esteemed Professor Xiaogang Liu. My research is passionately centered on the cutting-edge design and prediction of photophysical properties of organic fluorescent materials, leveraging the robustness of quantum chemical methods.

Throughout 2023, I expanded my research horizons as a visiting scholar at University College London (UCL) and Queen Mary University of London (QMUL). During this enriching period, I worked alongside leading experts to refine and advance simulation models, significantly contributing to the knowledge pool in photochemistry and computational chemistry. This collaboration has been instrumental in enhancing my skills in Python, data analysis, and quantum chemistry, and it culminated in contributions to multiple high-impact publications and presentations at prestigious international conferences.

My career vision is to continue pushing the boundaries of computational chemistry to develop solutions that are not only innovative but also relevant to pressing global challenges. Whether in academia or the industry, I am eager to apply my deep understanding and skills to make significant contributions to science and society.
